HOW TO DEAL WITH THE HOLIDAY RUSH

look after yourself first

The holidays are a time to spend with your family and friends, a lot of us are lucky to call our clients our friends- but don't get this twisted... look after yourself and your own mental health!

Don't over accommodate at any time of year, especially around Christmas time when life is stressful enough! Book your nails or lashes to get pampered yourself.

take enough time off

Allocate dedicated days off, the best thing to do is to book days to see your family and friends and enter this into your calendar so you can book the whole day off! Blocking time off allows breaks and less stress.

Using a booking app is key to keeping up with your clients, blocking the whole day off and writing "Seeing Mom and Dad" will remind you why you booked it off.

take booking fees

We always bang on about taking a booking fee upon appointment, this is super important around the holidays as this is when most cancellations/no shows are (in our experience)

We also know, the holidays are a busy time for us all, and unfortunately lash apps can be overlooked to some- secure a fee incase you end up missing out.

manage inventory

ALWAYS ensure you are stocked up on products, Christmas is the busiest time of year for postal services, the last thing you want is a delay in your products arriving/no inventory.

If you run out on 1 length, it's not the end of the world, but you need to make sure you're providing your clients with the best service and the best eyelash outcome.

pre plan your socials

Social Media is either something you're great at, or something you're not! Always make sure you have posts lined up for the holidays (which is usually the busiest time of the year for us all!)

Use Canva for creating and scheduling your posts, you can produce great content and then choose the day/time for each post.
